What makes marble inlay different from a surface print?

In Pietra Dura work, individually shaped stone and shell elements are fitted into marble to create the composition. The pattern is formed with inlay material rather than being printed or painted on top. Natural markings and hand-finished details vary from piece to piece.

Which stones and shell materials do you use?

Depending on the design, pieces may include lapis lazuli, malachite, carnelian and jasper, together with mother of pearl and abalone shell. The exact materials for a product or custom proposal should be confirmed from its description and our written specification; a photograph alone cannot identify every material reliably.

Am I buying a tabletop only or a complete table?

Check the selected purchase option before adding the product to your bag. A tabletop-only choice does not include a stand. Where offered, select the tabletop with a wooden stand or marble stand and check the total, dimensions and stated inclusions. If you are using an existing base, ask us to review its suitability first.

Can you make a piece to my size or reference design?

Yes. Send a reference photograph or sketch, dimensions in inches or centimetres, the intended use and your delivery country. We can discuss the shape, border, floral or geometric composition and suitable materials. A custom enquiry begins a conversation; the specification and commercial details must be agreed before making starts.

How do I place an order or approve a custom commission?

For a listed piece, choose the correct purchase option and review your bag and checkout total. For a commission, review the written quotation or pro forma invoice, including the dimensions, materials, stand, inclusions, payment stages and estimated schedule. Ask us to clarify anything that is not explicit before payment.

Which payment methods can I use?

Available methods are shown at checkout for your order and destination. The website offers payment-provider options such as PayPal and Razorpay where available. For a custom commission, the agreed invoice records payment arrangements. Do not assume that a payment method is supported simply because you selected a particular display currency.

Is international shipping included in the price?

Shipping is included only where the product listing or written quotation says so. Some custom proposals show it separately. Tell us your destination so the packing and delivery scope can be confirmed before payment; do not assume that the display currency includes duties, taxes or every local delivery charge.

How long will making and delivery take?

Processing depends on whether a piece is ready stock or made to order, its size and design detail. Transit is a separate stage and depends on the destination and route. The product information or our team will confirm the expected timeline for your particular order; agree any important intended date with us in advance.

How are marble pieces packed and tracked?

Packing is planned around the size, material and route. Table tops and stands may be packed separately, with protective layers and export-ready support where needed. Confirm the insurance, delivery point, unloading or assembly responsibilities in your proposal. Dispatch and tracking or freight information are shared for the agreed shipment; contact us with your order reference if you need help.

Will I need to pay import duties or taxes?

Your destination may apply import duties, VAT/GST, customs clearance charges or other local fees. These are controlled by the relevant authorities or delivery provider and are not included unless the written order or quotation explicitly says they are. Read the shipping policy and ask us what is included before you commit.

What is the return window and who pays return shipping?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery to request an eligible return. Return shipping is free for eligible, authorised returns; contact Decor Crafter before sending the piece back so we can arrange it. Condition, protective packing, custom-order exceptions and refund review are explained in our Returns & Refunds policy.

What should I do if a piece arrives damaged or incorrect?

Contact us promptly with the order reference and clear photographs or video of the product, outer and inner packing, label and any damage. Our returns guidance asks for damage reports within 48 hours of delivery. Keep the packing while the issue is reviewed because the delivery company or insurer may need it.

How do I care for and handle marble inlay?

Clean gently with a soft cloth, wipe spills promptly and avoid harsh or acidic cleaning products. Use coasters or suitable mats to protect the surface from hot or wet items. Heavy tops need careful handling and a suitable supporting base; ask for guidance on the particular piece before installation.

Can I discuss a trade order or visit the studio?

We welcome enquiries from designers and project buyers as well as individual customers. For trade work, send the product types, quantities, dimensions, references and delivery destination so requirements can be reviewed. Our studio is in Agra, India; contact us before arranging a visit.
